For the Forest:
An Environmental Art Experience
What is For the Forest?
For the Forest Experiences are community events created by and for artists to express their connection to the forest and to support our work at Sacred Earth Arts.

We are in the planning stages for this year's event. We need artists, performers and people to volunteer to get our forest ready for visitors and set up/clean up for the event.

The focus of the art/performance is reverence for the forest. Listening with our heart and inviting deep connection with Mother Earth we create art as an offering of our gratitude.

The event is small, typically under 50 people. We do some social media marketing but typically artists invite family and friends. Parking is limited and we prefer an intimate event.
The event opens at 3pm. Artists come by 1 pm or before to help set up. Artists can come earlier to work on their pieces. They are welcome to come out almost anytime (check ahead) to work during the months preceding the event.

We typically start with a time to tour the forest and gardens and provide art projects for participants. We gather for a time of performance art and sharing. Afterwards we have a fire with drumming and campfire snacks for those who want to stay.

Art pieces are not sold. They should be made of non-toxic, biodegradable materials. We encourage pieces made from found natural objects.
If you are interested, come to a meeting or arrange a time to come out to talk with us about your project and get the lay of the land.
